Activist Philip Buyck - an important force behind the creation of the Lumumba Square in Brussels - has been roaming Belgium’s flee markets for the past 10 years, looking for literature on the colonisation & decolonisation of DR Congo, Rwanda & Burundi. During 3 days, he transforms the empty pedestal of Operaplein into a critical open-air library: la Bibliothèque Lumumba, a provocative archive of colonial & anti-colonial discourses.
